Eugen Coșeriu (born 27 July 1921 - died 7 September 2002), a pioneer in linguistic theory, a linguist of the 21st century. The greater part of his personal library was donated to the "Lucian Blaga" Central University Library by the University of Tübingen, thus compiling one of the highly valuable collections.
